ZTE joins Philippine mobile market with new Android devices

China-based handset makers seem to be interested a lot in the mobile scene here in the country, especially now that the industry is very competitive and lots of brands are in battle to have a big share. To prove this, ZTE, another Chinese handset maker, has officially announced four new Android devices: the Mimosa Mini V856, Kis V788, Skate 4.3H, and a tablet, Light Tab 2 V9A. 

Mimosa Mini V856  is an entry-level smartphone rivaling Lenovo A65, and Alcatel Blaze Duo 918N, and Samsung Galaxy Y, but on a very small display 2.8" screen, typing may be a little bit hard.

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • Price: 7,490

At its price, it almost rivals Alcatel's flagship phone, 0T-995 Sapphire HD, which is a thousand-peso lower.

Light Tab 2 V9A is the only tablet announced.
