The new iPhone 5 features a larger 4-inch Retina display with 1136 x 640 resolution (326 pixels per inch), a new A6 processor which as they said is twice as fast as before, the same but better 8MP HD iSight camera, which now has panorama feature, and can take pictures with up to 28 megapixel resolution, an improved front-facing HD camera that can take self-portraits or record 720p videos, fast data connection using LTE wireless connectivity, a new map app which Apple has made and designed, and, a better Siri, which now, can understand more questions and speak more languages. For your music needs, it has new EarPods which delivers enhanced audio experience. You can also get a faster Lightning connector. Also, it is running on the latest version of iOS, the iOS 6.
On the physical side, it is now much thinner and lighter, at 7.6 mm thin and weighs 112 g. It will be available in white and slate black. (NOTE: I just got news from GSMArena that Fujitsu Arrows F-07D is the thinnest smartphone as of date at 6.7mm)
Good news to those who have older iPhone models, you will get a free update to iOS 6 by September 19.
