Lenovo A60+: a 1GHZ Android phone below 5K!

Lenovo is a new competitor in the mobile phone market here in the Philippines yet they are very aggressive. This September, they will release a new phone that suits the budget of every Filipinos, the Lenovo A60+, which is an upgrade to A65 yet has a price tag below PHP 5,000.

Lenovo A60+ is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6575 ARM v7 Cortex-A9 processor and a GPU of PowerVR SGX531 Ultra, compared to the slower 800 MHz of A65. However, Lenovo maintained the 3.5" capacitive touchscreen (262K colors and a 320 x 480 pixel resolution), the 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM, and the 1500 mAh battery. Internal memory is at 144 MB. The camera was downgraded to 2MP and it still runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS. Also, it's dual sim and dual active. All for the price of PHP 4,999 only! I can say it's another bang-for-the-buck phone from Lenovo.

At this price, it will be competing against Alcatel Blaze Duo 918N, which has lesser specs.

This phone will be available by mid-September, along with S880.
