Entry-Level Fight: Acer Liquid Z2 vs. Alcatel One Touch Glory 2

Two of the latest entry-level phones from two distinguished mobile brands will be compared today in this very blog: the Acer Liquid Z2 and the Alcatel One Touch Glory 2. Both has similar specs with each other but who do you think will serve the consumer better? Follow the specs comparison right after the break.

Specification - Acer Liquid Z2 (Alcatel One Touch Glory 2)

Chipset: Qualcomm MSM722A Snapdragon (Mediatek MT6575)

dual sim (same)
Android 4.1 Jellybean (same)
1300 mAh Li-Ion battery (1400 mAh Li-Ion battery)
Price: PHP 4,990 (same)

So I took out the most important specs in this comparison, and we can see that most of their specs are similar: screen, processor speed, ROM, RAM, front camera resolution, connectivities, and the Android flavor.

What the Acer Liquid Z1 does better is at the photography department. With its 5MP main (rear) camera, shots would look much better. But if you don't use your phone for taking shots, then Glory 2 is still worth your choice.

On the other hand, the Alcatel One Touch Glory edges with the higher battery capacity (larger by 100 mAh). The difference isn't that big but it will surely give more usage time.

So I guess it's a tie. Liquid Z1 has a better camera while Glory 2 has a better battery. As I said earlier, if you use your phone for taking shots, then Liquid Z1 is much better, Otherwise, Glory 2 can suffice to this need. On the other hand, Glory 2 has a larger battery. A difference of 100mAh may not be that high but it's at least larger.

Overall, these two are nice devices perfect if you're on a tight budget.

Both phones are priced at PHP 4,990. Glory 2 is available now while Liquid Z2 is expected to be on shelves by this month.
