With its large screen and powerful-enough dual-core processor, the Gionee Gpad G1 is a perfect feast for your eyes without sacrificing performance. It has a sufficient 512MB RAM (better if it has a gig at least), for decent multitasking, as well as 4GB internal memory which you can expand up to 32GB with a memory card so that you have more space for your apps, music, and movies.

On the photography department, it has a 5MP autofocus rear camera with an LED flash just right for taking nice shots, as well as a VGA front camera for video chats.

Your music needs wouldn't be left out as it has SRS TruMedia HD technology for excellent audio quality.

Also, it's dual-sim and dual-standby so you won't have to bring two separate phones with you. Another feature Filipinos love.

It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (should have been Jellybean out-of-the-box). No word if there's an upgrade though.

If you are fond of phones with large screens to watch movies or play games, then this phone is for you. With a price tag of PHP 10,799, this device would find it hard to compete with local brands. But who knows, some consumers may like this device for its own unique design and identity as well as capable specs.

Freebies: leather case, extra battery, and cradle charger.
